About Us
Hi Tech Installations Ltd. is a premier
company specializing in the construction of new and upgrading of granular
fertilizer storage and blending facilities. 
Owner Evan Michaud launched the company
in 1996 in a small home office, after working in the fertilizer industry
for 8 years. The business has grown over the past 11 years into
a major supplier of fertilizer equipment. Hi Tech moved to a
new, larger office in November, 2006 to
keep up with the growing needs of their client base throughout Western
Canada and parts of the US.
Hi Tech's motto is "When
Craftsmanship Counts". "What was missing was
the quality of the workmanship," Michaud says about his previous
experience in the industry when citing what inspired him to create
the business, "It's never been about getting rich."
Michaud always stays on top of changing
times, with modern upgrading equipment and education such as first
aid and welding. "We're known for not taking short cuts,"
states Office Manager Sara Maendel. "Evan is a business
man who backs his products and he always stands behind his employees."
Other full-time staff includes Pat Mackley, who has
20-plus years of experience in the field and prefers the designation
of 'problem solver' to his official title of General Manager.
Also, Robert Anderson joined the team as Project Manager in Fall of
2007. Robert brings with him over 25 years experience in the
Fertilizer & Scale Industry, taking on a number of roles from
Fertilizer Plant Operator to Project Manager.
Hi Tech Installations takes on additional technical
experts and sub-contractors in peak periods, and has been identified
as a model employer by Worker's Compensation Board in AB, SK as well
as MB for its strides in fostering employee training and safety.
